Your Massage Session

  • Before you receive your massage, it is a good idea not to eat heavy meals. You may want to shower or bathe just before your session to help start loosening any tight muscles you might have.
  • Your therapist will ask you to fill out an intake form which will indicate possible reasons why you should not get a massage. Our staff will explain the procedure of the session you are about to receive, evaluate problem areas you may have and check for restricted, painful movement. The intake form and notes regarding your session are medical records and will not be disclosed without your consent.
  • For Swedish or Oil-based Massage your therapist will ask you to disrobe in private, lie on the massage table and drape yourself with a sheet and/or towel. Your therapist will leave the room, allowing you time to get ready and will return to begin. Your therapist will selectively undrape and redrape your body as required by the session. You may leave your undergarments on or take them off as you prefer.
  • Your privacy will be respected at all times during the session. The only area of your body that will be uncovered will be the area your therapist is working on at that specific time.
  • Shiatsu and non-oil massages do not require disrobing.
  • Our massage therapists are licensed to practice in New York State.
  • Sessions by appointment only.
